Accepting new clients
Hello and welcome. I am an experienced counsellor and therapist, offering a safe, confidential space where you can take pause, speak openly, and explore what is troubling you or maybe lying just beneath the surface. With my support and sensitive challenge when appropriate, you can begin to disentangle your thoughts, deepen your self-understanding and broaden your perspective. This process can uncover new possibilities and opportunity for meaningful change.
Outside private practice, I have worked in various low-cost counselling services and within the NHS, supporting adults with a range of concerns
My life experience – including my mixed heritage background, work and career breaks, overseas living and parenting – together with my clinical training, inform my sensitivity to issues of identity, belonging, relationships and the impact these can have on our overall wellbeing.
I hold a BSc in Humanistic Counselling, am OPT certified and a Registered Member of the BACP.
I work with a wide range of personal challenges including anxiety or overwhelm; depression, self-doubt or a general sense of feeling ‘stuck’; loneliness; difficult relationships; and life-changing events, such as parenthood or bereavement.
I have a special interest in helping people recognise, understand and change any self-defeating patterns, to develop a more fulfilled way of being.
I integrate different Humanistic psychotherapeutic approaches – Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis – to suit you.
Humanistic theory is grounded in the idea that people have an innate capacity for growth and through an empathic, non-judgemental therapeutic relationship, we can better understand ourselves and move towards our full potential.
