Cognitive Behavioural Therapist offering personalised, evidence-based therapy for anxiety, stress and low mood.
Professional background including training
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, registered with the BABCP, with over 13 years’ experience working within mental health services, including the NHS.
My work is grounded in evidence-based CBT, and I also draw on elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which allows me to take a more flexible and personalised approach depending on each person’s needs.
I also take a holistic view of mental health, recognising that factors such as sleep, diet and exercise can have a real impact on how we feel day to day, and I consider these where helpful within our work together.
Alongside this, I am neurodiversity-informed and have a particular interest in adapting therapy so that it feels accessible, supportive and effective for different ways of thinking and processing.
I specialise in common mental health difficulties such as anxiety, stress and low mood.
I often work with people who feel stuck in patterns that are hard to shift, and want support to better understand what’s going on and find a more manageable way forward.
Types of issues I work with
I work with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, stress and low self-esteem, as well as periods of feeling overwhelmed, stuck or disconnected.
Some people come to therapy with constant worry or intrusive thoughts, while others may be struggling more generally with how they feel day to day.
A key part of my work is helping people to understand their difficulties, break unhelpful patterns, and begin to make meaningful, lasting changes.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which focuses on understanding the link between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and finding practical ways to make changes.
I also integrate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting people to respond differently to difficult thoughts and to move towards what matters to them.
This approach allows for both practical tools and deeper, longer-term change.
Who I work with
I work with adults over 18, on a one-to-one basis.
How I work
I offer both face-to-face and online sessions.
My approach is calm, supportive and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable to talk openly, while also helping you gently challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
I tailor how I work to each individual, so therapy feels realistic, manageable and relevant to your day-to-day life.
Many of the people I work with have been coping on their own for a long time, and are looking for a space to make sense of things and start to feel more in control again.
