Accepting new clients
Hello, My name is Jo and I am a neuro-affirmative Psychotherapist & Nutritional Therapist specialising in eating disorders. I have worked as a therapist since 2006. Over the years I have completed many therapy training qualifications:
Prior to training as a therapist I worked as a teacher, in the UK and overseas. I currently work part time as lecturer and clinic supervisor on the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy course at University of West London.
I specialise in supporting people with eating disorders/disordered eating, including nutritional and psychological support for those undergoing or considering bariatric surgery. I am a neuro-affirmative therapist, recognising that many neurodiverse individuals experience eating differences.
I can help with the following: Anorexia, atypical anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, ARFID, chewing and spitting, over exercising.
I combine my psychotherapeutic skills and nutritional therapy training to provide comprehensive specialised support. I am an integrative psychotherapist trained in CBT, NLP, Eriksonian hypnotherapy and person-centred therapy. I believe all my clients are unique and I draw on my many trainings and experience to find the best way to help you, working in a collaborative solution focussed way.
I am passionate about helping you on your recovery journey as I understand and have experience of how devastating eating issues can be for both you and your loved ones. My aim is to support you to develop a better relationship with food, yourself and your body so that you can gain better health and lead the life you want to live.
