Hello, I’m Nicola.
Looking for a therapist can feel surprisingly personal. Qualifications and experience matter, of course, but so does finding someone you think you could actually talk to.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 27 years working in demanding corporate environments. I know what it can be like to keep going, juggling work with everything else life brings, and how easy it is to lose sight of yourself in the process. Therapy can be a chance to stop for a moment and begin to work out what you need now.
I have a BSc in Person-Centred Pluralistic Counselling, with further training in couples work, trauma-informed practice and neurodiversity. I am a registered Member of the BACP and am regulated by their professional code and ethics.
I specialise in working with anxiety, burnout, menopause and people affected by cancer. This includes the emotional impact of diagnosis, treatment and recovery, as well as supporting those close to you.
My work also includes relationship difficulties, grief and bereavement, low self-esteem, trauma and neurodiversity. You don’t need to have a particular reason in mind. Perhaps you’re getting on with everyday life but know that something doesn’t feel quite right.
My approach is person-centred and pluralistic, which really means that I don’t expect one way of doing therapy to suit everyone. I work in a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed way and can also bring creativity into our work where that feels helpful.
Who I work with
