Accepting new clients
I am a psychotherapist and an EMDR therapist. I believe that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations, so I will work with each person in a bespoke way, tailoring my approach to their needs and therapy goals.
I have 25+ years of corporate experience, in commercial and Human Resources roles, so I fully understand the challenges of modern demanding, fast paced careers. As a working mother of two teenage children, I know first-hand about combining professional and family responsibilities.
I receive regular professional supervision. I also speak Russian.
Training and Professional Accreditations
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists, I am trained in and have experience working with a range of issues, including all types of anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, life transitions, identity, life purpose, relationships and sexual issues, low self-esteem, shame and guilt, work and career issues, trauma and bereavement, amongst others.
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) therapy to help people recover from psychological difficulties and symptoms which are the result of past traumatic and difficult experiences.
I also draw on my 25 years of corporate experience, mostly in the Human Resources function, to support people with career coaching, resolving employment difficulties and preparing for important interviews.
Of course, there may be other reasons you are seeking help with, and I will be happy to discuss your specific situation and needs to determine how we can work together on moving your life forward.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist which means that I draw on a range of theories and methods to inform how I work with my clients. I believe that there is no single approach that can treat every client in all situations, so I will work with each person in a bespoke way, tailoring my approach to their needs and therapy goals.
We will work together on making the changes you would like to see (and on accepting what is). Ultimately, therapy is about developing new perspectives and behaviours which will enable you to be more adaptive, resilient and lead a more meaningful, balanced, and fulfilling life.
I also utilise EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) which is a powerful, evidence-based, unique therapy that helps people recover from problems triggered by traumatic events in their lives. Whilst best known for treating PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), EMDR can help with a wide range of mental health conditions and concerns, including depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, panic attacks, grief and loss, low self-esteem and performance anxiety, amongst others. EMDR therapy is endorsed by NHS, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), World Health Organisation, and many other bodies.
