Accepting new clients
I offer a thoughtful and exploratory space to help people better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape their lives. My work is informed by attachment theory, depth psychology, and the person-centred approach to support meaningful and lasting change.
I work with a range of relationship structures, including monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous, and poly-monogamous dynamics. I also work with same-sex couples and individuals across a range of identities, including those who are non-binary or trans.
I specialise in relationship dynamics and intimacy, working with couples to strengthen connection, improve communication, and develop more fulfilling and resilient relationships.
While many couples come to strengthen and continue their relationship, some come to separate in a considered and amicable way, working through the emotional impact of the ending and how to move forward as individuals. Experiences of separation can be deeply affecting, often felt both emotionally and physically, and I work with clients to process this and begin to rebuild.
My relationship counselling focuses on aligning each individual within the relationship towards more secure attachment, looking at the anxiety that can arise from fears of abandonment, as well as avoidance strategies that limit connection and growth.
It also involves understanding attachment injuries that have occurred, such as breaches of trust or unmet expectations, which can leave people feeling isolated within the relationship.
With individuals, I focus on the process of developing a stronger sense of self, exploring deeper patterns and aspects of experience that may sit outside of immediate awareness. This work is supported by reflection, discussion, and a level of psychoeducation, helping to make sense of key principles within the therapeutic process.
Who I work with
Couples –
I work with couples who are looking to strengthen their bond, find new ways of communicating, and make difficult decisions together. This includes working through trust breaches, understanding the roots of disagreements, navigating the pressures that can come from extended family, and exploring differences in intimacy, including sex drive, in order to build a more fulfilling and connected relationship.
Heartbreak after the end of a relationship is a significant part of my work. If this is you, I recognise how painful separation can be. This is an important time to reflect and rebuild, using the insight gained from the break-up.
Individuals –
I also work with individuals who are committed to self-development, who are ambitious and self-driven, and who feel they are not yet meeting their full potential. This work focuses on gaining clarity and understanding in order to move forward in both their personal and professional lives.
How I work
In person and online
My approach is focused on understanding the deeper emotional and relational patterns that sit beneath the difficulties people experience in their relationships and lives.
With couples, I focus on helping each person feel heard and understood. Having dedicated time each week allows space to restore connection, while also working to better understand the dynamic in your relationship and how it plays out in communication, closeness, and conflict.
For those focused on self-development, the work centres on gaining clarity about how you think, make decisions, and relate to others. This often helps to remove internal blocks, allowing you to move forward more effectively in both your personal and professional life, rather than feeling stuck or repeating the same patterns.
