Accepting new clients
I am a qualified humanistic psychotherapist. This means that I believe in hope; I believe that everyone has the innate ability to feel better and grow towards a happier, calmer and more fulfilled life, even if difficult experiences and feelings make this seem unachievable.
I came to my career in psychotherapy in mid-life, having spent time working in professional settings and then several years caring for family members. As such, I bring much life experience, including my own challenges and insights to my practice.
I hold an MSc in humanistic psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute, a specialist training college for psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists in London. My 5-year masters award is accredited by Middlesex University. I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
As a humanistic therapist, I work collaboratively with my clients, relating with empathy, lack of judgement and honesty, to help people make meaningful changes towards feeling better. Together we work to:
– Understand, explore and start to come to terms with difficult feelings and experiences,
– Bring into awareness unhelpful beliefs, behaviour and ways of relating that might be holding you back,
– Accept and embrace your true self, so that you can feel better in your own skin.
